Smalltalk Jobs – 2/21/16

  • Seattle, WAJava & Smalltalk Developer II through Expeditors
    • Required Skills:
      • Object-oriented programming and component-based development with Java
      • Demonstrated aptitude and/or experience with Smalltalk programming
      • Strong understanding of SQL statements and SQL construction (both DDL and DML)
      • Strong understanding of design, creation and maintenance of data warehouse structures and data marts
      • Experience with Spring, JavaScript, and Solr
      • Proficient in understanding symbols, terms, etc., in various documents used by IS Department such as Scope Statements, Use Cases, UI Specs, Object Models, Design Documents, Deployment Diagrams, QA handoff, and Support documents
    • Wanted Skills:
      • Experience with Agile methodology
      • SQL tuning and access path analysis including data materialization, indexing, partitioning, clustering and structuring
      • Experience with DB2 databases (v9 or higher) or other enterprise level database (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.)
      • Experience with Eclipse IDE and various plug-ins, Maven
      • Experience with Unix scripting
      • Understanding of the freight forwarding industry including one of the following: logistics, air and ocean transportation, customs brokerage, warehousing, or accounting
      • Understanding of logistics industry data domains, i.e. warehouse/distribution, inventory, shipments, consignments, consolidations, orders, CRM, etc.
