Another postion in North America has opened up in the Smalltalk team here at CincomWorking at Cincom can be quite rewarding, and our Smalltalk tools are among the most important products at the company.

We have an additional position in the UI team.

  • Technical Lead – Senior Software Engineer at Cincom
    • Required Skills:
      • Five or more years experience in the role of Technical lead with responsibility for UI requirements, design and architecture of supporting UI frameworks.
      • Experience leading and mentoring a team of software engineers.
      • Documentable experience in Object Oriented Design (OOD) of application frameworks
      • Background developing quality code, performing code reviews and delivering product feature documentation.
      • Thorough familiarity with agile development methodologies
      • Strong written communication skills and planning abilities
      • Works well in a distributed team environment
      • Familiarity with the internals of the VisualWorks tool set
    • Wanted Skills:
      • Hands-on experience with Cincom Smalltalk IDE’s, VisualWorks and/or ObjectStudio
      • Publicly available work in VisualWorks, especially tools enhancements
      • Comfortable using VisualWorks to design and build user interfaces
